This week, a Chinese one and...

'The Bright colours of Summertime' at Take a Word

The Chinese woman are from 'The Portraits of Opera Characters'.
Anonymous artist, Qing dynasty (1644–1912).
The flowers are by Giuseppe Castiglione (born July 19, 1688 in Milan and died July 16, 1766 in Beijing).
He was an Italian Jesuit brother, missionary in China and painter at the imperial court.
He was one of the favorite artists of the emperors of the Qing dynasty (1644–1912).
